Yvonne and I arrived here on Friday last after a delightful trip on the "backpacker's special" an Air New Zealand flight from Heathrow. It was unusually cool, about 11 degrees, and by the time(7.30pm approximately)we arrived here in Oi Gin (The Outward Bound complex in Tsai Mon Tai) it was dark apart from a delightful quarter moon and the lights from Sai Kung, the nearby local town across the bay.(see photie copyrightme)
Prawn curry cooked in an authentic manner (I hope) by Richard and Judy's authentic Sri Lankan chum was much appreciated, especially Richard's prefect(sic)brown rice. A first for me as I hate brown rice, or at least I thought I did until now.Pausing here to watch the sun drop behind the hills of Sai Kung...see other photie
We also did some justice to several bottles of the Red, which I'd probably have to eschew if we lived here, given the local prices. Likewise supplies of decent scotch although beer is cheap with all the right brands and then some.
